Effective Date: 1st January 2026
This Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) applies exclusively to products purchased through the official online platform of MB Ashtekar Jewellers (“Company”, “We”, “Us”). All online purchases are accepted only upon receipt of full upfront payment.
By placing an online order, the Customer (“You”) agrees to this Policy.
1. PAYMENT TERMS
1.1 All online orders are processed strictly on a 100% advance payment basis.
1.2 No order shall be processed, manufactured, resized, or dispatched without successful payment confirmation.
1.3 In case of payment failure or chargeback, the Company reserves the right to suspend or cancel the order.
2. ORDER CANCELLATION
2.1 Cancellation Before Processing
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement, provided:
- The order has not been processed,
- Gold/silver rate has not been locked,
- Manufacturing/customisation has not commenced,
- The product has not been dispatched.
Cancellation requests must be submitted via official email with Order ID.
2.2 Cancellation After Rate Lock or Processing
Once:
- Gold/silver rate is locked,
- Manufacturing begins,
- Hallmarking or sizing is initiated,
the order shall become non-cancellable and non-refundable.
2.3 Administrative Charges
Where cancellation is permitted after payment but before dispatch, MB Ashtekar Jewellers reserves the right to deduct:
- Payment gateway charges
- Administrative/processing fees
- Gold rate fluctuation impact (if applicable)
Refunds shall not carry interest.
3. NO “NO-REASON” RETURNS
Due to the nature of precious jewellery, MB Ashtekar Jewellers does not offer return or refund for:
- Change of mind
- Preference issues
- Design dissatisfaction
- Delay due to courier (once dispatched)
Online purchases are final sale unless covered under Section 4 below.
4. ELIGIBLE RETURNS (EXCEPTION BASIS ONLY)
Returns shall be accepted only under the following conditions:
- Product received is damaged during transit
- Product delivered is materially different from the confirmed order
- Verified manufacturing defect
Return request must be raised within 48 hours of delivery.
5. MANDATORY CONDITIONS FOR DAMAGE CLAIM
To qualify for return:
- Unboxing video (continuous, without cuts) must be provided.
- Complaints must be emailed within 48 hours of delivery.
- Product must be unused, unworn, unaltered.
- Original invoice, packaging, hallmark certificate must be returned.
Failure to provide unboxing video may result in rejection of claim.
6. INSPECTION & VERIFICATION
Upon receipt of returned product:
- Purity, weight, hallmark and tampering will be verified.
- Inspection may take 3–7 business days.
- If tampering, usage, or damage is detected, return will be rejected.
The Company’s quality verification decision shall be final.
7. REFUND PROCESS
7.1 Approved refunds shall be processed only to the original payment mode.
7.2 Refund timeline: 7–14 business days from approval.
7.3 Refund shall be limited to invoice value, subject to permissible deductions.
7.4 Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error is attributable to the Company.
8. GOLD/SILVER RATE POLICY
8.1 For online purchases, the applicable rate shall be the rate displayed and confirmed at the time of successful payment.
8.2 Once rate is locked, any cancellation request shall be subject to:
- Prevailing gold rate difference (if adverse),
- Administrative deductions.
8.3 Market fluctuation shall not be grounds for refund.
9. BUYBACK & EXCHANGE
Online refund policy does not constitute buyback.
Buyback or exchange (if offered) shall be governed by the separate Buyback Policy of MB Ashtekar Jewellers and may require physical store verification.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
MB Ashtekar Jewellers shall not be liable for:
- Minor weight variation (±0.05g manufacturing tolerance)
- Colour variation due to display screens
- Courier delays
- Customer-provided incorrect address
Total liability shall not exceed the invoice value.
11. FORCE MAJEURE
The Company shall not be liable for delay or failure due to events beyond reasonable control including government restrictions, natural disasters, supply disruptions, or market closures.
12. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
This Policy shall be governed by laws of India.
All disputes shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Pune, Maharashtra.
